Hi, there's a new "Lemel Lemel" Intel solution TV stick pre-installed Windows 8 that uses 32-bit UEFI, Ubuntu should really reconsider support them.

Workaround:
1. Make sure GPT & EFI system partition available
2. Install Ubuntu using debootstrap
3. setup /boot/efi, / filesystem in /etc/fstab
4. install grub-efi package
