Comment 1 for bug 1626715

I had a similar problem where I installed a Brother HL-2170W network printer using the Printers control pane. When I went to print a test page all that came out on the page was this message "**** Unable to open the initial device, quitting".

I ran the troubleshooting and it informed me that the 'hpijs' driver was not installed. I manually installed 'printer-driver-hpijs' using apt and that resolved the printing issue.
