Cyrille I assume you are also using Ubuntu 13.04?
Unfortunately at this time I simply don't have any time to work on this problem with Rapid Photo Downloader on recent Linux distributions. My only recommendation is to use Ubuntu 12.04 or equivalent, where it works fine.
