Bug Description
I am not sure if this is identical with Bug #1025908, but I got a serious performance issue with Rapid Photo Downloader, making it next to unusable (Ubuntu 13.04 system with a Gnome Shell desktop). It just took almost 30 minutes to import 60 standard jpgs at about 4mb from a SD card in an internal card reader. The download progress in the bottom claimed right from the beginning that just 1 second was to be remaining, while the upper progress bar slowly counted up to the 60 images.

I've same probleme with a usb card reader. The progress bar is filled three-quarter but no files are copied or transferred to the hard drive. Then it takes about 20 to 30 minutes to transfer 21 items (they are CR2 files).
Whatever the chosen USB port.
I'm on UbuntuStudio AMD 64 with a sempron 140 2,7 GHz with 5go RAM
