Hmm, then it's not a GTK2 problem... Weird, I don't know else could be affecting Polly but not other applications.
If at least the issue was happening only to links I created, I would have more to investigate... but the link in Help->About is created automatically. I'm quick stuck now.
Fluxbox does not seem to be the problem either, as I know other FB users who use Polly without issues...
Isn't there anything else out of the ordinary in your setup?
