I also vote for Jan Hoffmann's mock-ups because they look more consistent and has a better lay-out. In the screen-shot of Jonathan I count no less then 4 (four!) different icon-sets and as a result it looks very cluttered. Also, you have to move clips upwards to the time-line which feels a bit unnatural.
