I've read that the 1.1.0 version of ndiswrapper restarts the plugin once it crashes and you refresh the page.
Although this doesn't provide a real solution to the problem at least it will prevent having to restart the whole browser which can be annoying if you have a lot of open windows and tabs.
I will try this myself as soon as I have time this weekend.
