I feel that this library history feature could be tied in with the requested scrobbling feature here:

Perhaps the scrobbling itself could be left to an external program, and Mixxx could simply record a text/m3u file, keeping the memory usage as low as possible.
The history list of tracks played would also be useful for very long sets or shared DJing situations, to avoid repetition.
I am working on a bash script that will (hopefully) record all tracks loaded into a deck, utilising the Mixxx debug mode ("mixxx -v" from the command line). I'll post up a link here when I have something completed, unless someone beats me to it!
