I also have problems with Hibernate. I have a Lenovo laptop E50-80, brand new, with a fresh Linux Mint 17.3 (Rosa) install and the default kernel version (3.19.0-32-generic), 64-bit platform.

When I explicitly tells the computer to hibernate, or when it does automatically because of very low battery, the computer seems to try to hibernate (I see the lock screen appear twice) but instead shuts down. Then when I boot again, the screen stays black after I select the entry in Grub. I have to force the shutdown, and then it boots fine.

Please let me know if this sounds like a different bug that I should open, and let me know if there is any additional info I can provide.
