Comment 3 for bug 1363456

The problem is still prevalent in Linux Mint 18.3! It is confirmed to be an issue with Nemo file manger, namely owner & permissions given by formatting software and how Nemo handles it. I have found a forum thread that relates to this issue. I have verified that Thunar is not effected but this needs to be resolved with the prepackaged software.
