The sky was clear tonight (Saturday night), so we were treated to our first view of stars, thousands of them, since about August 10th of 2014. We didn't see the aurora borealis, either natural or artificial - we never do, despite living over fifty degrees north of the equator and north of the entire contiguous United States - but due to the lack of light pollution we saw thousands of stars ... We stayed outside until two or three in the morning - my sleeping schedule's really getting out of whack due to this blackout!
