There are no ways to invite a person to join a team

Bug Description

If a team administrator would like to ask a person to join his team, the only way he has is to send an e-mail. It would be great if Launchpad could allow you to invite people to join a team, showing them under 'Invited/Pending Members'.

Hi. This is not a duplicate of bug #180151: this one is about the ability to invite people, the other one is about showing a link to the invited team.

We do have a mechanism to deal with proposed memberships, but its not triggered in all cases, perhaps just making it be used more often would suffice.
