Team Administrator can arbitrarily add members without any action from the LP user

An LP user received an email from LP advising that they were now a member of a new LP team.

Note that the LP user has not requested to be added to the team, nor have they been invited to join the team, or expressed any interest in any way that they wish to become a team member, they've just been added and an email is sent to the LP user advising them of this membership.

It is unclear if this is always possible, or only when a team is being created.

If the LP user removes themselves from the team, they are always shown as a "former member" of the team.

I think there should be a way for users to choose whether they want to allow team admins to add them to teams without their consent or not.

I think it doesn't makes much sense to make it an option. Whether being recruited to a team is desirable isn't dependent on the person, it's dependent on the team.

Instead I suggest always requiring recruits to confirm an invitation to join the team.

Another parallel for mpt's suggested behaviour is that used when adding teams to teams in launchpad, where an administrator for the invited team must choose to accept the invitation.
