I understand what you are asking. Unfortunately, it's not that simple. wxWidgets supports this toolbar behavior in it's wxAuiToolbar object but the last time we enabled this feature it was very buggy so we disabled it. That was with wxWidgets 3.0.0. Maybe the issues have been resolved but I'm not willing to risk it for v5. Hopefully it has been fixed in newer versions of wxWidgets.
