Bug Description

Operation System: OSX 10.6
Inkscape Version: 0.48.1 r9760

The object I want to render is a black square with a blur of 1%. In the output eps file the object is not present.

The task works in Inkscape 0.48+devel r10191.

Not reproduced with Inkscape 0.48.1 and Inkscape 0.48+devel r10191 on OS X 10.5.8 (i386):
Both exported EPS files are identical:

LeWitt:bug suv$

Please attach a sample SVG file which exposes this error and both exported EPS files.

Which software did you use to verify the content of the EPS files?

I just noticed that it seems to depend on the size of the object, see the attached files

Which dpi value for rasterization have you set in the export options dialog when saving a copy as EPS?

'original version of svg' exports ok to EPS with Inkscape 0.48.1 on OS X 10.5.8 using the default 90 dpi to rasterize the fallback image generated for the blurred rectangle.

Likely related to or a duplicate of
Bug #494115 “Save as PDF with rasterized filter effects at high DPI looses random elements of figure”
<https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/494115>
which would also explain why current trunk doesn't have the same limits as the current stable release version.

I used 300 dpi for rastering.

Reproduced with Inkscape 0.48.1 at 300 dpi, not reproduced with current trunk: same issue as bug #494115.

 Console output from Inkscape 0.48.1:

** (inkscape:57701): WARNING **: 185291160 bytes requested for pixel buffer, I won't try to allocate that.

Console output from Inkscape 0.48+devel r10191:

** (inkscape:57709): WARNING **: 185291160 bytes requested for pixel buffer, this will slow down the system.
