Please add information about OS and Inkscape version.
Which language setting do you use in Inkscape?

Could please describe in detail what doesn't work (with steps to reproduce), so that we can test on different platforms with different hardware and language settings?

Is it the same as reported in bug #624749 “v0.48.0: no horizontal scroll, windows 7, using synaptics touchpad” <https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/624749>, or does vertically scrolling fail for you as well when trying to use the touch pad?

Setting to confirmed since the same issue was reported in the comments of bug #624749.

Not sure if the two bugs are duplicates, keeping independent for now.

I don't think it's duplicate, horizontal scroll via touchpad doesn't work for me too. None of the scrolling works via touchpad.

Thank you.

In comment #3 of bug #624749, that same issue was described - I added a comment there mentioning your report.

I filed a dupe of this bug for my HP Pavilion. It is newer than my EliteBook.

It should be noted that on my HP EliteBook it does not work with Synaptics Luxpad 7.5 the driver stats v15.3.25 15Sept11 on the working device.

Both have Window 7 x64.

I really hate that you categorize this as "low" given how often zooming happens.

Also, does this mean I count as two users?
