Bug Description
I am running Snow Leopard, 10.6.2 on a MacBook, late 2008.
I can open SVG files and copy/cut, but when I try to paste the copied selection into a new inkscape document it won't let me. is there a way to do this or is this broken? I can paste within the same document, it just doesn't seem to carry the clipboard contents to the new document/window.

Did you change the clipboard preferences of X11/Xquartz according to the FAQ? wiki.inkscape. org/wiki/ index.php/ FAQ#Copying_ and_pasting_ in_Inkscape_ creates_ pixellated_ images_ instead_ of_copying_ the_vector_ objects> www.inkscapefor um.com/ viewtopic. php?f=22& t=3627# p17000>

Could you please give feedback if this helps?
Your report is most likely a duplicate of either /bugs.launchpad .net/inkscape/ +bug/307005> which describes a general clipboard conflict with newer versions of X11/Xquartz on OS X Leopard and later, or of the recently filed /bugs.launchpad .net/inkscape/ +bug/460197> which at the moment is still undecided if it's essentially the same issue on Snow Leopard or if there's something else that breaks the clipboard handling of Inkscape (and maybe other X11 apps) under X11 on OS X 10.6.
