Bug Description

Hi,

First, Inkscape rocks. Nice work.

On drawings where I've imported a bitmap then draw on/with them, when I export to a bitmap, a thin gray border appears around the imported bitmap. How do I get rid of this, without post-editing the exported image?

Thanks!

Same here for me. Does not happen always, but occures especially when the image is rotated.
Using 0.46+devel 22040.

Steps to reproduce:

1) Import a bitmap. (Tested for .jpg and .bmp)
2) Rotate bitmap
3) File > Export Bitmap
4) Open exported Bitmap and a gray border should appear around it.

Sometimes also happens for images that were not rotated.

Maybe important: all images were scaled (to <100%) when I tested this, to fit the images on the page.

1) Could you provide information about the platform you use?
2) Which image viewer did you use to display the exported bitmap and notice the gray 'border'?
3) Please attach the original bitmap and the exported one from Inkscape so that we try to can reproduce this issue.
3) Would you be willing to test this with a more recent prerelease build (0.47pre4) from <http://sourceforge.net/projects/inkscape/files/inkscape/0.47pre4/>?

ad 1) I experienced this issue on Windows XP, Windows XP 64 and Windows 7 64 Ultimate
ad 2) Used Windows intern photo viewer and Photoshop CS 1 -> Same results
ad 3) Should work for every bitmap, but i provide a test image + svg + outputs
ad 4) Tried with 0.47pre4 -> Same results

Also tried to replace the dlls for pango/cairo/png with newer ones from http://www.gtk.org/download-windows.html but didn't change anything.

The attached archive containes two .svg files created in the Inkscape version stated in the file name. The exported bitmaps are the *_OUTPUT.png files respectively.
The test_bitmap.jpg was created with Photoshop CS 1, but as said this happens for any arbitrary bitmap.

reproduced with Inkscape 0.46+devel r22557 on OS X 10.5.8 and the example file '047_test.svg'.
Changing output resolution doesn't seem to make a difference (the gray lines have less weight, but are still visibly created at the borders of the white background of the JPEG image).

This bug only happens with a transparent page background. After putting a white (or any color) page-sized rectangle below the images or removing the transparency from the page background in the document properties the SVG file exports without additional borders being added to the linked JPEGs with white background.
