I will mark your report as duplicate of bug #307005 Bug #307005 in Inkscape: “[OS X] copy & paste inserts a bitmap copy instead of the vector object”. Please add a comment and revert the duplicate status if the issue returns and the clipboard failure can't be fixed by changing the X11 preferences.
