I just want to update on this. It's really, really irritating to have hidden items, especially when many of the ones that are most accessible are the most unlikely to be used. How many users use "Create 3D boxes," "Spirals," and "Spray objects" on a regular basis? As opposed to the gradient editor or the color dropper.

I'm not using a particularly low resolution (it's a latop -- 1280 x 800 is pretty common). I can shrink the buttons but now I still have a million options, and shrinking doesn't actually help all that much. Plus now everything is microscopic.

I think UI improvements are pretty important and being able to disable menu tools or re-order them would be a HUGE boon to the program. As it is, it feels amateurish. With every update I get a million more filters I'll never use, but the basic UI is still uncustomizable to a large degree and somewhat thoughtless arranged. :-/
