This only happens when bounding box snapping is off and node snapping is on (snapping toolbar):
Dragging the bbox resize handle on the right side: the semi-circle collapses to a vertical line.
Dragging the bbox resize handle on the left side: the semi-circle extends indefinitely to the right side.
Disabling node-snapping allows resizing of the half-circle with despite visible grid.
Enabling bounding box snapping on the toolbar does not trigger this bug and overrides the node snapping mode.
