Like Alvin mentioned, we've migrated to gitlab.com for issues going forward, and I too would encourage filing separate bug reports per distinct issue.

I am not sure what is causing the canvas refresh problem, although the renderer didn't change significantly between 0.91 and 0.92. The program shouldn't be taking 4 minutes to load up, so that makes me wonder if there is some other condition unique to your systems that might be involved.

Since we're not able to reproduce this issue so far, and since we're migrating to gitlab I'm going to close this issue out. Please feel free to file new bugs about the issues you're seeing at http://inkscape.org/report.
