Comment 2 for bug 174562

I have to say, I have no idea, why this difference. The difference is not in how Inkscape renders filters on groups. As can be seen from the attached group_filtering.svg, Inkscape filters a group as a whole. (as it should)

Also, I tried and applied gaussian blur in Gimp on an exported, non-filtered bitmap image of these items, and it too seemed to agree with inkscape rendering. This was so, that I knew exactly, what I was applying gaussian blur on.

As these stand, I am dumpfounded as to why this is happening, but yet I can clearly see the difference between Inkscape and Batik renderings.
