We really want OpenOffice to properly support SVG but in the long run I expect Inkscape will have OpenOffice support. http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=2497
In the meantime a developer who was good with XSLT should be able to hack together a basic converter, both Inkscape and OpenOffice use on SVG Paths for almost everything and their file formats are not wildy different.

Note that OOo is changing the file format in version 2.0, so this will be OpenDocument Drawing, *.odg
