Bug Description
Support for import (and to a much lesser extent export)
of the OpenOffice.org Draw file format would be
incredibly useful.
OpenOffice.org Draw is a powerful but ugly Drawing
program, being able to import OO.o Draw files will
encourage people to use Sodipodi instead.
It has a potentially very large userbase because many
people install OpenOffice.org Draw because they want
some part of the Office Suite,
http://
OpenOffice.org Draw files are zipped XML files.
It does use some parts of the SVG schema.
libgsf (developed by Jody Goldberg of the Gnumeric
project) might be helpful.

We really want OpenOffice to properly support SVG but in the www.openoffice. org/issues/ show_bug. cgi?id= 2497
long run I expect Inkscape will have OpenOffice support.

In the meantime a developer who was good with XSLT should be
able to hack together a basic converter, both Inkscape and
OpenOffice use on SVG Paths for almost everything and their
file formats are not wildy different.

Note that OOo is changing the file format in version 2.0, so
this will be OpenDocument Drawing, *.odg
