Inkscape crashes when printing

I have the latest version on Win 7 and when I have selected my printer, no matter if it's any of my Canon or Epson printers or if it's PrimoPDF, Inkscape stops responding and crashes. I get this same behavior on my laptop and my desktop.

Update: I can print a blank page. It appears to be something in the file (this happens to multiple files setup the same way). I'm importing a graph from a pdf file, editing it, and then trying to print that file.

Could it be the same underlying issue?

Could you attach sample files (original PDF, SVG after import) and detailed instructions how to reproduce the crash, to allow testing on other systems with different versions of Inkscape?

I am attaching a file that results in this behavior. I tried opening this in Illustrator (which I don't have a license to) and got this error:

"Clipping will be lost on roundtrip to Tiny". It also crashes Illustrator.

Confirmed on Windows XP, Inkscape trunk revision 12149, with the attached file.

The number of masks in the defs (all with the same bitmap) is striking! The masks alone are almost half of the file.
How did you generate the SVG?

Still crashes on Windows XP, Inkscape trunk revision 13511. Memory consumption increases quickly and the application crashes with the following console message:

...
_create_dc_and_bitmap: The operation completed successfully
----
