Tried to find out how to merge 2 tags in shotwell and only found this bug (and the corresponding upstream bug).

Here's the workaround for as long as there is no direct support in shotwell:

Tag A and tag A_typo exist. I want all photos tagged A_typo to be tagged A instead.

I click on tag A_typo, select all photos containing this tag, add tag A to all selected photos.
Then, I right-click on A_typo and click on Delete in the pop-up menu.
