Yes, hpijs is installed but not used. I am sure that I have used the PPD files generated dynamically by CUPS driver (and the PPD file is rewrited at every new upgrade of hplip software)
For to do a test I have uninstalled all the HPIJS* debian packages, the HPLIP* packages and the printer. After a fresh new installation of the latest HPLIP software (without HPIJS) I have printed the same page with the same result.
So, the log previously uploaded are correct and valid.
