The 1102w requires a firmware file (provided by the plugin package) to be downloaded to the printer. This happens when the printer is switched on connected to the computer.

A print queue would be set up with

lpadmin -p 1102w -v hp:/usb/HP_LaserJet_Professional_P1102w?serial=000000000RK1AT0 -m drv:///hpcups.drv/hp-laserjet_professional_p1102w.ppd -E

If printing with

lp -d 1102w /etc/nsswitch.conf

does not happen, you have a bit of debugging ahead of you.
