I have now tested this branch. It works well displaying the stories in the messages feed and detailing which are read vs unread.
However, the 'read' links on each article seem to currently take you to the /reading-list page on google rather than directly to the article's original location, which I wasn't expecting the behaviour to be. Is it possible to change this to take you directly to the article whilst also marking the item as read in google reader?
