Bisected: The problem started in gdm 3.24.2-1ubuntu6

FAILS: 3.24.2-1ubuntu7
FAILS: 3.24.2-1ubuntu6
WORKS: 3.24.2-1ubuntu5

So the workaround is to downgrade to:
