i don't like the new icon... old one was better... but in any case Skeuomorphism should be abandonaed the age in which people need a familiar image to reconnect an app to a function it's over.. and indulge in particular the wood and cord alike of this new icon is excessive, i suggest to use just the plain colour with no wood appearance...if you see also other elementary application you may note that even when there a camera or a picture they avoid to indulge in such real alike particular.
