Has any-one tried installing the driver from a different source to the additional drivers tab in software sources
I eventually in frustration installed fglrx-updates, fglrx-amdcccle-updates and fglrx-updates-dev via synaptic package manager and it now works.
I have also seen some-one else say that they installed the old Additional drivers app from the software centre and installed the driver from there and it now works for them after previously having the same problems as us after installing from the additional drivers tab of software sources.
