I would be more than willing to submit a patch to make the plugin compliant with the new API, but the license necessary to obtain a Shoutcast API Dev Key is incompatible with free software. VLC has had similar problem (with AOL asking to comply to their license) and has decided to remove Shoutcast support (more details here: http://www.videolan.org/press/2010-1.html).
IMHO the only sane thing to do is to discontinue the plugin, at least while Shoutcast doesn't change the license.
AFAICT this problem is due to the change of Shoutcast's API (http:// www.shoutcastbl og.com/ 2010/09/ 30/shoutcast- api-update/) that renders the plugin completely unuseful.
