This bug/wish may have originated with me. It sounds like something I've
wished for from day one.

The way that we do orders starts with applying one or more 962 tag(s) to
the permanent bibliographic record. This tag supplies item data and order
data to Evergreen. A file of these bibs is compiled. We next use the Load
MARC Order Record method to batch import the file. The item/copy records
are created on import as well as the Purchase Order. It is very slick,
except when we want to buy extra copies or multiple volumes that have
different prices.

Really, the PO lines need to be generated from the item/copy records and
not the bib record for this fix to be made. It would also be cool if the
ISBN field were present on the item/copy record. Then you could even
include the hardback or paperback information on the appropriate copy/item
record so that if a fine were incurred you could charge more appropriately.

I do hope this enhancement is made someday.
