Actually you can use Monaco but you have to do special stuff:

Steps:
1. Create any folder to clone the Github repository above. e.g. mkdir ~/monaco
2. Clone the repository cd ~/monaco git clone <email address hidden>:cstrap/monaco-font.git
3. cd into the cloned repository cd ~/monaco/monaco-font
4. type:
./install-font-ubuntu.sh http://www.gringod.com/wp-upload/software/Fonts/Monaco_Linux.ttf
