What you say is correct, but what if you don't want to use it that way?
Any other dock out there can be used without having it managing your windows, how can it be so hard for Docky to not do that?

I want to keep using my panel, but in addition I want to use a dock to launch applications and go to folders, which I don't want to put in my panel because they would take up to much space and a dock is much prettier than a second panel.
