On a fresh install of Lucid Lynx, when using the OpenSearch plugin in Gnome-do, the search plugins installed by the default Firefox install are not listed. So I ran Gnome-do from the console with the debug flag and triggered "Search Web". I immediately see the following log messages on the console
I had installed the imdb.xml plugin manually from within the firefox browser window. So I figured I'd copy all the default plugins from /user/lib/firefox-3.6.3/searchplugins into /home/sud/.mozilla/firefox/o8hkwbnd.default/searchplugins/.
And sure enough I see the following messages get logged:
[Debug 20:37:19.686] [CachingOpenSearchItemSource] Adding new OpenSearch plugin: /home/sud/.mozilla/firefox/o8hkwbnd.default/searchplugins/amazondotcom.xml
[Debug 20:37:19.692] [CachingOpenSearchItemSource] Adding new OpenSearch plugin: /home/sud/.mozilla/firefox/o8hkwbnd.default/searchplugins/answers.xml

[Debug 20:37:19.697] [CachingOpenSearchItemSource] Adding new OpenSearch plugin: /home/sud/.mozilla/firefox/o8hkwbnd.default/searchplugins/yahoo.xml
And now in gnome-do all the search plugins show up like they should. The icons don't show up though. So that seems to be a different issue.
