I'm running with PowerNow! completely disabled in the BIOS setup. My CPU family is different, too:
vendor_id : AuthenticAMD
cpu family : 15
model : 35
model name : AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+
stepping : 2
cpu MHz : 2010.324
cache size : 512 KB
So I don't think it's a hardware problem. And I've never seen this before gutsy either.
