We recently experienced an incident while running an ovn-northd process with valgrind to investigate a suspected memory leak.

Leaving aside whether doing so should still yield a functional ovn-northd, we were completely blind about the fact that it wasn't.

I see bug 1897816 is not being looked at given that we should now pivot toward metrics-based alerting, so I am opening this bug separately for clarity.
