Comment 6 for bug 1796931

Very difficult when the problem is intermittent. I've installed an epub reader and configured it into calibre with your "open with" plugin. Anyway to change the default ebook viewer to the new reader? Just a workaround.

PS there has be no new programs installed since this recent eviewer problem started.

you can run your computer in safe mode and see if the problem goes away.
If it does then you know it is some program interfering. Sadly the oly
way to find out which one is to disable them one by one till you find
the culprit.

Bug description:
  recent problem. unable to read book in calibre 3.32. viewer shows
  open on taskbar but cannot actually open up on screen to read book.
  windows 7. epub version. can convert successfully to any format.
  recently added kfx decryption to calibre.
