Bug Description

Since the last kernel, touchpad (with appletouch module I suppose) seems to work out of the box. However it's too sensible, and you click accidentally when you do not actually want to do it. I have tried to follow https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MacBookPro , but the parametes appear to be ignored. gsynaptics do not work, since it complains SHMConfig is not enable (despite it is).
I attach a xorg.conf file.
Any idea if this may be finetuned somehow?

It seems to be working nice since last update (no idea how to adjust parameters, however)
I update a xorg.conf file without an extra synaptic section.

The input section I'm actually using for the mouse is:

Section "InputDevice"
        Identifier "Configured Mouse"
        Driver "mouse"
        Option "CorePointer"
        Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
        Option "Protocol" "ExplorerPS/2"
        Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
        Option "Emulate3Buttons" "true"
        Option "SHMConfig" "on"
EndSection

I tried to change the driver (Synaptics) but it did not work.

I can confirm this on kernel 2.6.20-15-generic (Feisty final).
Touchpad worked well in Edgy.

try:
syndaemon -i 0.1 -K -t
Just tried it... disables touchpad for 0.1 second when typing... Check man syndaemon. I'll follow up if it works :)

Maybe this should run by default until the driver is fixed?

Works now, but not well. At the moment it is too little sensitive. Would that be a new bug, or is that the result of your effort to fix above mentioned bug?

What annoys me is that no matter how much I move the slider for sensitivity in gSnaptics the marker is always in the same place when I come back. Typing is a nightmare because the cursor constantly shifts..
