Bug Description

On installation of Feisty Herd 5 to hard drive, it looks like the problem with the installation going back to the live session even when the button for doing a RESTART was clicked, has been fixed, now if we could just get the problem, in that, when the message requesting that you take out/eject the Feisty Herd 5 CD from the machine and then press the enter key to continue, that the CD will NOT eject from the tray (yes, I pressed the button quite a few times and firm enough to eject the CD, if it was a mind to work).

Thanks.

I had the same problem.

The CD would NOT eject after installation from Live CD.

And, I could not reboot the computer by pressing enter either. Don't know if you had that problem too, or if it is even related to the eject problem?

Yes, actually since you mention it, on the last install I did, it did
not restart when pressing enter either.

I turned it off and it did reboot into Feisty (hard drive) and I am
running that same installation now.

Thanks.

Fixed a couple of days ago:

casper (1.82) feisty; urgency=low

  [ Ben Collins ]
  * Depends on eject package, and copy it into initramfs.
  * Add log_wait_msg function to use usplash_write INPUTENTER.
  * Conflict with usplash older than the one that fixes INPUTENTER.
  * Add driver-updates hooks.

  [ Colin Watson ]
  * Fix more leftover /live_media wreckage (LP: #84592).
  * Add a ubiquity hook to install driver-updates on the target system.
