Bug Description
I use Lenovo Thinkpad T500. It has a power button that is not registered when pressed. When I run xev and press the button, nothing happens. The button works when held for about ten seconds - it then turns the computer of (with no shutdown procedure).
I think it might be related to this bug: https:/
I the ubuntu kernal crew will not fix this, could you please forward it upstream?

I just tested with kernel 3.2-rc2 from https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/Kernel/ MainlineBuilds and it happens there too.
