Edit launcher is not working

when i click on edit launcher, nothing happens.
Ubuntu 11.10
I think the same also happend in 11.04 but im not sure

It seems like you don't have gnome-desktop-item-edit installed. Is there an other program that gnome3 is using instead?

Afaik people are using awn and dockbarx on gnome 3.

gnome-desktop-item-edit hardcoded in dockbar.py

gnome uses gnome-desktop-item-edit (gnome-panel package)
xfce uses exo-desktop-item-edit
