.desktops dragged on to unity launcher will not be added to com.canonical.Unity.Launcher favorites unless moved in the launcher

This is seen on 2 fresh install w/ the 08/20 daily
While you can now D&D an app on to the launcher and use it will not be added to com.canonical.Unity.Launcher favorites unless it is moved to a new position in the launcher
So if not moved the app will not be there after a log out/in
Am attaching a terminal output that shows this, !st. the default list, then after adding totem to the launcher, (no change), then after moving the totem icon (shows up
