Bug Description

Sending Unity to suspend and reactivating provides artefacts on screen where the ribbon is (I use a hidden setting, making the bar disappear if not used).

Also the Apple magic mouse does not respond after wakeup.

Workaround for issue 1: show the ribbon and hide it again.
Workaround for issue 2: turn mouse of and on to reconnect via bluetooth. However the calibration of the mouse is not correct (approx. 20 pixels y and 50 pixels x)

To clarify, Wolf is not using 11.04. It is 12.10 so I have copied the system details from bug 1075432 into this one.

summary: - Unity wakeup from suspend corrupts screen and deactivates mouse

I believe this is related to bug 915265, which described the same behavior. Bug 915265 was addressed in 12.04 and 12.10, but the fix is it not 100% reliable.

Only upgraded to 14:04 today.

So far I haven't noticed it. Will test further

In 13.10 the artefacts reappeared more regularly than in 13.04. However, moving the mouse over the launcher shows the correct icons and if the launchbar is set to autohide, the problem solves itselfs.
