unity launchbar provides screen artefacts after resume (again)

After resuming from a suspended state, artefacts appear where the expanded launcher should show (should because the bar still does not activate correctly)

This seems a regression to a previously reported bug (#821022)

Daniel: brilliant idea

tried to launch Screenshot application. This generates an icon in the launcher and the artefacts go away.

Cannot use Alt-PrtScreen as there is no PrtScreen on the Mac keyboard.
Cannot bring the machine to sleep mode if an application is open either (reported this in another bug)

Sorry that I cannot be of any assistance but 12.10 is so badly broken that I wonder every day whether I should step back to 12.04

I keep trying.

Maybe you look into the old bug in the meantime

Actually bug 821022 was never resolved so we should still be using that bug instead of this one.
