Bug Description

Reporting as new, since I don't see one for Oneiric. All I did was double click an icon on the desktop. Icon was a symlink to a directory under $HOME. Expected the directory to be presented in a window. Got ABRT instead.

After middle click (or the equivalent left-right click) on a desktop folder, all icons disappers.
I managed to get back the icons by clicking on the trash-icon on unity launch-bar.

Hello Chris, or anyone else affected,

Accepted nautilus into oneiric-proposed. The package will build now and be available in a few hours. Please test and give feedback here. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Thank you in advance!

Thanks Martin & Sebastien, I can confirm it is fixed in 11.10 32 bit Ubuntu :)

FYI, either the "updated" version stated here or within aptitude is wrong because the package version of nautilus is still marked as 3.2.1 which I was already running and NOT 3.3.5.

For anyone else who wants to update:

1) Enable proposed update in software sources
2) sudo apt-get aptitude (not installed by default)
3) sudo aptitude (hit "u" within aptitude or do sudo apt-get update otherwise)
4) sudo aptitude install nautilus/oneiric-proposed
5) restart PC

Restart PC is not required, it is enough "killall nautilus" and restart nautilus

@Damir: The version 3.3.5 is the version in Ubuntu 12.04 -- the Ubuntu 11.10 version in the oneiric-proposed repository is 3.2.1-0ubuntu4.1 (the former version was 3.2.1-0ubuntu3.2)
