If you try to use duplicity with 1&1 Smartdrive via WEBDAVS something goes wrong. The sync exits with "Bad status line". Found a similar Bug report but actually with no solution provided.

Attached to this ticket you find the output of the following command:
# duplicity /home/marcel webdavs://[xxx]:[xxx]@sd2dav.1und1.de/backup

Has anybody an idea what went wront?

Thanks!

Please try 0.6.14 and raise --num-retries.
Post the -v9 output again if the error occures again.

Here is the new -v9 output with --num-retries=40 (Hope that was enough)

Ah, just saw the comment with version 0.6.14 :( Almost not possible at the moment. There's no FreeBSD port for that version. As the server is more or less production environment I cannot compile without any package/port manager. I'll have to set up a test box for that.

Will do that in the next couple of days and will let you know if version 0.6.14 resolves the problem.

Cheers,
Marcel

High,

thanks lot. Mr. Marcel. I'm not able to give You a more detailed debug-info concerning the problem.

I've contacted the hotline from 1und1.de: they don't give support for linux and webdav. But it seems, that there is something wrong in their implementation. May be, they need to much time for creating and changing directories: there is a time-gap, where no instructions will be taken (it is well shown, if the dav-disk is mounted local).

Meanwhile I've an account at
https://www.free-hidrive.com/
(disk in cloud, probably without costs): duplicity works well.

May be I will check next release of duplicity with 1und1.de...

Thanks for Your work
